Ninh Binh Day Tour Itinerary – Explore History, Culture & Nature

07:00–07:50 – Pick-up from Your Hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter
Our friendly guide and driver will collect you right from your hotel to begin your journey to Ninh Binh.

09:15 – Short Rest Stop
Take a 15–20 minute break to stretch, grab a snack, or use the restroom before continuing the drive.

10:30 – Visit Hoa Lu Ancient Capital
Step back in time as you explore Hoa Lu, Vietnam’s capital from 968 to 1010. Visit the temples of King Dinh and King Le and discover the fascinating history of the Dinh, Le, and Ly Dynasties.

11:15–11:45 – Cycling Through the Countryside
Hop on a bike for a peaceful 30-minute ride through quiet village roads, rice paddies, and scenic valleys.
Not into cycling? Relax at the retreat, enjoy the view, or take a dip in the pool (available during summer).

12:00 – Buffet Lunch at Trang An Eco Holiday Retreat
Enjoy a buffet featuring local specialties in a serene private area. Vegetarian options are available.

13:15–13:30 – Choose Your Boat Tour Experience

Option 1: Tam Coc – Often called “Halong Bay on land”, you’ll enjoy a 1.5-hour boat ride along the Ngo Dong River, passing through rice fields, limestone mountains, and three magical caves: Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba.
Option 2: Trang An – A UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its tunnel cave system and stunning landscapes featured in Kong: Skull Island (2016). Spend 1.5 hours discovering this cinematic natural wonder by boat.

15:30 – Mua Cave & Ngoa Long Mountain
Climb 500 stone steps to the summit of Ngoa Long Mountain. The panoramic view of Tam Coc and surrounding countryside is absolutely worth the effort!

16:30–17:00 – Return to Hanoi
Relax on the comfortable drive back.

19:00–19:30 – Drop-off at Your Hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter
We’ll drop you right back at your accommodation.
